OT Nick Buchanan picks Florida over Georgia on National Signing Day

The recruiting train rolled on for the Florida Gators on National Signing Day as the program gained a verbal commitment from three-star offensive tackle Nick Buchanan (Atlanta, GA) just a couple days after he decommitted from California.

Buchanan (6-foot-4, 280 pounds) took official visits to Georgia and Florida, respectively, over the last two weekends and quickly decided that he wanted to trade in his Golden Bears pledge for a Gators helmet.

His addition gives Florida yet another offensive lineman to add to the fold; head coach Jim McElwain fingered it as a position of dire need for the team. The Gators now have 17 total pledges in the Class of 2015.

Buchanan is the fourth offensive lineman to commit to the Gators over the last week-plus, joining five-star Martez Ivey (Apopka, FL) and three-stars Richerd Desir-Jones (Fort Lauderdale, FL) and Fredrick Johnson (West Palm Beach, FL). Florida now has six offensive linemen committed for 2015, which is huge for the program considering only seven scholarship players returning at that position next season.
