1 » Florida Gators head football coach Jim McElwain will participate in his first ESPN “car wash” on Tuesday. As such, he will participate in four live interviews, starting his day on First Take at 11:20 a.m. and moving over to The Herd at 12 p.m. before ending his day on SportsCenter at 1:20 p.m. and College Football Live at 2 p.m. McElwain will also be interviewed on other radio shows and podcasts during his time in Bristol, Connecticut. OnlyGators.com will wrap up the entire day at some point on Tuesday, though if McElwain remains as close-to-the-vest as he was during the 2015 SEC Media Days (and first six-plus months of his tenure at Florida), there may not be much.

2 » According to The Gainesville Sun, now-former Gators defensive back J.C. Jackson has been formally charged with three counts of robbery with a deadly weapon and one count of burglary after allegedly serving as a co-conspirator in an alleged armed robbery this past April. Jackson is free on bond while the other two men allegedly involved in the incident have yet to be identified with Jackson seemingly refusing to cooperate with the Gainesville Police Department and state investigators. Jackson is no longer enrolled at Florida and therefore not a member of the team. While he was indefinitely suspended by the Gators, he was not officially dismissed from the team or university.

3 » As McElwain noted during the SEC Media Days, Florida begins football camp on Aug. 5 and will hold its first practice on Aug. 6. The school announced Tuesday that the Gators’ first padded practice will be held on Aug. 10, though there has been no mention as to whether any of these practices will be open to either the media or fans wanting to get a glimpse of Florida football ahead of the 2015 season.

4 » Former Gators quarterback Chris Leak announced Tuesday on Twitter that he has accepted a new job and will join the football development department of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Leak has not held a full-time football job since serving as Florida’s wide receivers coach in 2014, his first coaching job. Leak joined the Gators one year earlier as a graduate assistant and was promoted into the role when UF lost Joker Phillips to a resignation.
