» USA Today went somewhat in-depth on former Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow with Josh Peter penning a feature that looks at how his throwing motion and football mind has evolved while fighting to keep his career alive. Below is a highlight quote from the feature, which you can read in full by clicking here.

“I don’t feel like I’m the same player from a passing standpoint and a mechanics standpoint,” Tebow said. “I love the process and I love that I have a chance to get better,” he added. “That’s an important mindset not just for football, just in life. When you have that mindset, then you won’t look back and you won’t regret anything. No matter how much you succeeded, no matter how good you were at something, you can never look back and say, ‘I regret I didn’t go all the way.'”

» Though former Florida cornerback Janoris Jenkins missed out on first-round money due to off-field concerns, it appears as if he may be close to striking a substantial contract extension with the St. Louis Rams, which took a chance on him with the No. 39 overall pick in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Jenkins has been a solid starter for the Rams over the last three seasons, making his share of highlight plays and also being on his fair end of offensive highlights for the St. Louis’ opponents. Still, Jenkins will likely command second- or third-tier money, which for a cornerback these days can be a more-than-solid payday. Jenkins picked off seven passes and scored five touchdowns from 2012-14.

» On the other end of the spectrum is Dallas Cowboys defensive end Jeremy Mincey, who after being thrown away by Jacksonville and Denver played a major role in Dallas’ improved defense last season. Mincey singed a modest two-year, $3 million deal with the Cowboys ahead of the 2014 season but now believes he deserves more and does not plan to report for the start of the team’s training camp, as reported by ESPN‘s Adam Schefter. The former Gators defender is likely looking for a fair boost in salary after starting all 16 games for Dallas and earning widespread praise for his clutch play in 2014.

» Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden has stood up as an advocate against using the R-word ahead of the 2015 Special Olympics. “Open up your vocabulary, people,” Haden told ESPN‘s Steve Wulf. “The R-word is hurtful, hateful and ignorant. Like the N-word, it should not be part of our language.” Haden, named a Special Olympics Global Ambassador back on Jan. 27 (the first NFL player ever given the title), has been an advocate for such issues since joining the league. His 21-year-old brother Jacob has dealt with a cognitive disorder all his life. “I play for him, and I would do anything for him,” Haden said.

» The New England Patriots have decided to start second-year defensive tackle Dominique Easley on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Easley, who played sparingly in 2014 and missed the playoffs after being benched for good in December to aid in his recovery and rehabilitation, will continue to get healthy until the team believes he can contribute at a high level. Easley did not have offseason surgery and is expected to play for the Patriots at the start of the 2015 season.

» Washington signed former Florida running back Mack Brown on Monday. Brown joins former Gators RB Matt Jones, selected by the franchise with the No. 95 overall pick in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft, on the roster ahead of training camp. Originally given a tryout after the draft and signed as an undrafted free agent by the Houston Texans, Brown was released by the team following minicamp and has now been given a second NFL opportunity.
