The 2016 NFL regular season began with 40 former Florida Gators on the main rosters of 23 of the 32 teams in the league.

Twelve teams have multiple Florida players on their rosters entering the season including Philadelphia (four); Buffalo and Washington (three each); and Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Miami, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Oakland and Tampa Bay (two each).
