The Florida Gators’ top target in the Class of 2021, four-star guard Kowacie Reeves, Jr. (Macon, GA), formally signed with the program on Wednesday as an early enrollee. Reeves, who committed to the Gators in April, is a combo guard and one of the top shooters in his class.

The 6-foot-5, 170-pound wing chose Florida over Stanford and Georgia Tech, though he had more than 20 Division I scholarship offers. Those were his finalists as Reeves heavily prioritized academics in addition to athletics when evaluating his options.

Reeves is ranked as the No. 56 overall player in the nation, per the 247Sports Composite. He is seen as a shooter with a sweet release, and he averaged 21 points per game for Westside High School. He is also aggressive defensively and an effort rebounder.

The Gators had been on Reeves since May 2018, so his signing was a culmination of nearly 2.5 years of recruiting. He is the lone member of Florida’s 2021 class, which ranks 69th nationally and 13th in the SEC due to only having one member. UF will not sign another early enrollee for 2021.
