Gators move up again in top 25 polls

The fourth regular season editions of the USA Today Coaches and Associated Press Top 25 polls were released on Sunday with the Alabama Crimson Tide remaining the No. 1 team in the country in both rankings systems. Alabama received 57-of-59 first-place votes from the coaches and 59-of-60 first-place votes from the AP voters.

The Florida Gators, fresh off a dominant 38-0 victory against Kentucky, jumped up to No. 12 and No. 11 in the respective polls. Florida checked in with 817 voting points (+128) in the USA Today rankings and with 864 voting points (+121) in the AP poll.

The Gators’ ranking and total points in the USA Today poll is exactly the same as it was one year ago at this time.

    Gatornation is wisely staying mum on this ranking. It’s a nice indicator that the program is heading in the right direction, but not much else. LSU looms.
