The Florida Gators stayed pat at No. 6 when the fifth edition of the BCS standings were announced Sunday night. Florida, with a .796 average (+.010), checked in behind three undefeateds and two one-loss teams (Alabama, Georgia). Florida is one of six Southeastern Conference teams in the top nine of the standings.

UF has already defeated the BCS-ranked No. 7-9 teams (LSU, Texas A&M, South Carolina) and will have a chance to beat No. 10 (Florida State) in two weeks.

Early Sunday afternoon, the 11th regular season editions of the USA Today Coaches and Associated Press Top 25 polls were released with the Gators holding strong in each.

Florida remained stagnant at No. 7 in the human polls. The Gators were awarded 1,079 voting points (-12) in the USA Today poll and 1,089 voting points (-23) in the AP top 25.

UF also checked in at No. 7 in the Harris Poll, which is one-third of the BCS.

Previously the unanimous No. 1 team in the country, Alabama fell to Texas A&M on Saturday and did not receive a single first-place vote. Oregon received 89-of-119 combined first-place votes as the new No. 1 in the human polls but was second to Kansas State in the BCS standings.
