The fifth editions of the regular season USA Today/ESPN and Associated Press Top 25 Polls were released on Monday, and the Syracuse Orange were named the new No. 1 team in the country as Kentucky and Ohio State each lost over the weekend.

The Florida Gators fell one spot to No. 13 in both polls on the heels of consecutive victories last week including an overtime win at home against Arizona. Kansas, which defeated No. 2 Ohio State 78-67, jumped UF in both top 25s. Florida is one of five Southeastern Conference teams listed in the respective rankings.

Additionally, two Gators took home SEC weekly honors with sophomore center Patric Young and freshman guard Bradley Beal announced as the Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week for their respective performances. Young averaged 18.5 points and 10 rebounds (shooting 77.3 percent with a pair of double-doubles), while Beal averaged 13.5 points and five boards.
