The Florida Gators’ 2016 commitment list held at 25 members on Sunday as Florida added a pledge from four-star defensive end Jordan Smith (Lithonia, GA) only to lose one later in the day from three-star wide receiver Isaiah Johnson (Palm Beach Gardens, FL).

Smith, who was originally committed to South Carolina, broke his pledge to the Gamecocks on Monday following a visit to Tennessee. He took an official visit to see Florida over the weekend and committed to the Gators on Sunday, according to multiple outlets including the Palm Beach Post.

At 6-foot-6 and 220 pounds, Smith is the fourth defensive end to make a pledge for Florida and is the second-highest rated such prospect behind four-star Antonneous Clayton (Vienna, GA).

Johnson, one of five wideouts committed to the Gators, was the lowest-rated of the entire group, according to the 247Sports Composite. Florida is after some of the top four-star receiving prospects remaining in the Class of 2016, including Nate Craig-Myers (Tampa, FL) and Binjimen Victor (Pompano Beach, FL).
