Linebacker Vosean Joseph (Miami, FL) committed became the second member of the Florida Gators‘ 2016 recruiting class on Wednesday when he made a verbal commitment to the program via his Twitter account.

“Just committed to the University of Florida #GatorNation #Florida #GoGators,” he tweeted Wednesday morning.

A three-star prospect on Rivals who is not yet universally rated, Joseph (6-foot-1, 210 pounds) chose Florida over a short offer list that included Bowling Green, Cincinnati and Oregon State.

Gators co-coordinator and linebackers coach Randy Shannon offered Joseph on Tuesday, and the prospect turned around and committed almost immediately.

Joseph, who also lines up at tight end, is the second linebacker out of Miami Norland Senior High School to commit to Florida in the last two months, joining three-star 2015 signee Rayshad Jackson (Miami, FL).

The Gators now have two players committed in their Class of 2016 with Joseph joining three-star wide receiver Rick Wells (Jacksonville, FL), who picked UF the same day the school offered him back on Jan. 26.
