They say hard work pays off, and during the brutal Florida summer, it apparently also cools off. During a post-Friday Night Lights shindig at head coach Jim McElwain‘s house, the Florida Gators coaches and staff got a special opportunity to celebrate their recent recruiting success by attempting to “quake” the pool.
The coaches — starting with McElwain — swarmed the backyard pool, started splashing around and then began Gator Chomping while music played and family watched on. Clarabelle even makes an appearance. Check out the videos below from various members of the staff.

Florida’s 2018 class moved from 61st to 10th in the 247Sports Team Rankings over the last week as the Gators added a number of star players, led by five-star quarterback Matt Corral (Long Beach, CA).
It is unknown whether this was a direct response to some videos released over the weekend of Miami recruits jumping into the on-campus pool following their Paradise camp, but it is at the very least a coincidence.
