Super Bowl LII was, well, boring as the New England Patriots took down the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in the lowest-scoring game in Super Bowl history. Still, the result was not without its extenuating storylines, including another pair of Florida Gators taking home rings from the big game.

Offensive lineman Trent Brown and defensive back Duke Dawson have become the 25th and 26th different Gators to win Super Bowl rings. Brown started for the Patriots, while Dawson was listed as one of the team’s inactives and neither suited up nor played in the game.

On the other side of the field, defensive linemen Dante Fowler Jr. and Dominique Easley represented Florida. Easley has missed the entire season with an injury, but Fowler saw extensive action for the Rams with four solo tackles and two tackles for loss in the game. That continued a dominant postseason run for Fowler.

With the Pats’ victory, this is the ninth time in 11 seasons that a Florida player has win a Super Bowl ring. It is also the 17th consecutive year that the Gators had at least one former player in the game. Overall, UF has 33 Super Bowl rings won by 26 different players over 22 Super Bowls.
