Though the No. 2 Florida Gators have been regularly overlooked by the network this season, ESPN has deemed the program worthy of hosting its signature Saturday morning show, “College GameDay” for the first time since 2017. The show will visit Gainesville, Florida, for the sixth time in history on March 1, ahead of a game against the No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
The Gators are 7-2 all-time when featured on “College GameDay” with a 4-1 mark when the show visits the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. ESPN has clearly not given UF many opportunities over the last the last 20 years.
In fact, up to this point, Florida has only hosted “College GameDay” when playing Kentucky.
Doors will open for students at 8:30 a.m. and the general public at 8:45 a.m. The show will begin live at 10 a.m. with the O’Dome being cleared until 7:30 p.m. when doors open one hour before tip-off.
The Gators at 23-3 (10-3 SEC) are off to the third-best start through 26 games in program history.
