It was just one week ago that the Florida Gators gave themselves an opportunity at a bye in the 2019 SEC Tournament after winning five straight games with three left on their regular-season schedule. Instead, Florida (17-14, 9-9 SEC) lost its final three games, including a shocking upset loss to Georgia, and enter this year’s SEC Tournament as a No. 8 seed set to open festivities on Thursday in Nashville, Tennessee.
No. 8 Florida and No. 9 Arkansas will battle on Thursday at 1 p.m. ET live on SEC Network. The winner will go on to face the tournament’s top seed in No. 1 LSU on Friday, while the loser goes home in this single-elimination bracket.
The Gators need to win at least one game to earn a spot in the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
The seeds are SET.
