You thought the Florida Gators’ Class of 2025 was complete? Well, so did we. Nope. Four-star cornerback J’Vari Flowers (Miami, FL) committed to the Gators on Monday becoming a late addition to the program’s incoming recruiting class.
Flowers (5-foot-11, 165 pounds) is rated as a four-star prospect ranked as the No. 82 overall player in the 247Sports Composite. The Miami Northwestern High School prospect chose Florida after taking official visits to Auburn, Miami, North Carolina and Notre Dame.
Given the Gators will open the 2025 season with numerous defensive backs ailing or having recently recovered from injuries, adding another talented piece in Flowers should help fill in some gaps as Florida faces the nation’s toughest schedule for the second straight season. He should be able to contribute right away on special teams, too, as a gunner and potential returner.
The addition of Flowers appears to boost the Gators two additional spots to No. 6 in the 247Sports Composite team rankings, which would mark its best such finish in recruiting since 2013.
