Beef is coming to Gainesville, Florida, in the form of offensive linemen joining the Florida Gators’ Class of 2027. Hopping on for the ride is four-star offensive tackle Elijah Hutcheson (Roanoke, VA), who verbally committed to join the Gators at a planned ceremony on Tuesday.
Hutcheson (6-foot-5, 275 pounds) is ranked No. 85 nationally in the 247Sports Composite. The No. 2 prospect in the state of Virginia chose Florida over Clemson, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.
Offensive line coach Phil Trautwein and offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner have been on fire rebuilding the Gators in the trenches.
Hutcheson is the third blue-chip player who has committed to join the unit alongside five-star OT Maxwell Hiller (Coatesville, PA) and four-star OL Peyton Miller (Anna, TX). Hiller is the No. 3 prospect in the nation, while Miller ranks No. 125 overall.
Similarly, making his decision for Florida on Tuesday was three-star safety Kailib Dillard (Jenks, OK). The 6-foot, 175-pound prospect chose UF over Georgia, Oregon, UCLA and other offers.
Waiting less than a full day to make his call was three-star defensive lineman Stive-Bentley Keumajou Yondui (Miami, FL), who committed out of Coral Gables High School. Keumajou Yondui (6-foot-3, 295 pounds) committed before his planned official visit to Florida (May 28) with others scheduled for Auburn, Georgia and Miami.
The pledges of Hutcheson, Dillard and Keumajou Yondui have the Gators up three spots over the last 24 hours to No. 6 in the 247Sports Composite team rankings.
