Head coach Jon Sumrall continues to load up this offseason building the Florida Gators’ Class of 2027 before beginning his first season with the program. Four-star running back Andrew Beard (Bogart, GA) became the latest prospect to join the Gators, announcing his verbal commitment on Friday.
Beard (5-foot-10, 197 pounds) ranks No. 154 nationally in the 247Sports Composite. He committed to Florida over Clemson, Georgia and Tennessee as the lone rusher in the class to this point.
The Gators have added a handful of blue-chip pledges over the last week, continuing to strengthen the trenches while sprinkling in playmakers on both sides of the ball.
Beard’s pledge pushes the Gators into the No. 5 spot in the 247Sports Composite team rankings, their highest placement to this point in the 2027 recruiting cycle.
