Florida Gators football saw its brand enhanced after a stellar performance last season, even if it ended in disappointment. Coupled with a top-tier game scheduled for Week 3 of the 2021 season, and the Gators find themselves as the only team featured twice on the newly released SEC on CBS schedule to open the season.

Florida will host the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 3:30 p.m. ET in the first SEC on CBS Game of the Week, the network announced Tuesday. The Tide hold a 26-14 edge against the Gators in the all-time rivalry. Alabama has won seven straight meetings against Florida dating back to 2009 by an average of 20.1 points per game. Four of those meetings occurred in the SEC Championship Game. They will play in the regular season for the first time since 2014 wit UF hosting at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida, the first time since 2011.

Tradition continues later in the year as the Florida faces the Georgia Bulldogs in their annual rivalry game on Saturday, Oct. 30, also airing as the SEC on CBS Game of the Week. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. in Jacksonville. The Dawgs hold a 52-44-2 edge all-time against the Gators, though Florida is 22-9 in the last 21 meetings since 1990 and 8-7 against Georgia in the last 15 meetings.

On Thursday, UF had kickoff times set for its first two games. It will host FAU on Saturday, Sept. 4 at 7:30 p.m. on SEC Network in Week 1 before playing at South Florida on Saturday, Sept. 11 at noon on ABC in Week 2.

No other SEC games have been announced by CBS this season other than the traditional Thanksgiving weekend showdown as Missouri will travel to Arkansas on Friday, Nov. 26 for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. There are 11 other SEC on CBS games to be set over the course of the season with an afternoon/evening doubleheader scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 9 and a daytime doubleheader scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 16.

The SEC Championship Game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 4 p.m.
