Building on their top-rated recruiting class for 2019, the Florida Gators landed a massive offensive line commitment on Monday. Not massive because he’s highly rated but rather because, well, he’s a large human being.

Florida received a verbal pledge from three-star Andrew Coker (Katy, TX), a 16-year-old who stands 6-foot-7, 335 pounds and also holds offers from Indiana and Ole Miss.

Coker is being recruited by a variety of other major programs but took advantage of a recent visit to Gainesville, Florida, to commit to the Gators.

“This has been a long thought out decision that both me, my family, and my friends have thought about. Thank u too [sic] the coach [sic] staff at the University of Florida for giving me the opportunity to live out my dream. Now without further ado I would like to announce my Commitment to the University of Florida,” he wrote on Twitter, adding the hashtags #GATA19 and #CHOMPCHOMP.

Coker is the Gators’ eight commitment for 2019 but just the first from outside the state of Florida. He is also the only offensive line pledge at this time. UF’s eight pledges are the most in the nation.
