The Florida Gators may still be looking to build their Class of 2019 in football, but head basketball coach Mike White has gotten off to a tremendous start putting his group of prospects together.
Florida on Tuesday received a verbal commitment from four-star point guard Tre Mann (The Villages, FL), the 28th-best player in the nation per the 247Sports Composite. Mann is considered a five-star prospect by the recruiting outlet’s own ratings.
Mann chose Florida primarily over Kansas, North Carolina and Tennessee. The 6-foot-3 guard wrote on Twitter that he is “100% committed to The University of Florida.”
The No. 3 point guard in the nation is the lone member of Gators basketball’s Class of 2019. He will be the second top-ranked floor general to join Florida in as many seasons should he sign after the program welcomed five-star PG Andrew Nembhard as part of the Class of 2018.
