D-Rob 3rd string? Did he go out and get in trouble Saturday night?

    • Tractorr says:

From what I understand McElwain said it had something to do with on-field performance. I like that he is holding guys accountable. No matter how talented you are if you aren’t going hard all the time then you won’t be seeing the field.

      • Ken (CA) says:

If it is based on on field performance, unless he is doing a whole lot of good things off the ball with blocking and such, I don’t know why Fulwood would still be starting, yet another ridiculous drop just like he did all of last season. About the only one on the team that had no catches.

Adam – is Snell’s slant going to be returning this year?

  2. SW Fl Joe says:

Fulwood drops a potential TD and D Rob gets demoted. What’s up with that?

    • Razzlegator says:

There’s more to being a receiver than receiving. If you’re doggin’ the routes or not blocking downfield, you might find yourself on the bench(not even third string on the other slot). The film these guys watch would show that kind of stuff.

  3. Sammage says:

I’d bet he wasn’t blocking well and when he knew his number wasn’t called he didn’t give full effort…but I haven’t watched the game again and was in the stands so I wasn’t watching him that closely. Given how well the team played I’m going to trust Mac to know what he’s doing right now though.

Is there a youtube channel that breaks down all the offensive plays of the gators?

  5. 1974Gator says:

No mention of any O-line depth (or lack of depth) chart switches. Pass blocking seemed just good enough. Wasn’t very impressed with their run blocking but maybe the coach doesn’t want to create any turmoil amongst the few. East Carolina will be a step up from NMS and good prep for the SEC caliber talent at Kentucky. All three will hopefully give them momentum and confidence going into the big boy Tennessee game.

Some numbers appear to be wrong …

Tabor is now 31 and Case Harrison is 22
