Florida Gators drop to No. 20/18 in top 25 polls

The second regular season editions of the USA Today Coaches’ Poll and Associated Press Top 25 were released on Sunday with the Alabama Crimson Tide remaining the No. 1-ranked team in the country in both polls. Alabama received 58-of-62 first-place votes from the coaches and 57-of-60 first-place votes from the AP voters.

The Florida Gators (1-1), fresh off of a crushing 21-16 defeat by Miami on the road, fell 11 spots to No. 20 in the USA Today rankings and dropped six places to No. 18 in the AP top 25. Florida checked in with 410 points (-564) in the USA Today poll and 405 points (-470) in the AP rankings.
