Don’t like it. We saw on Saturday how risky it is returning kicks (or punts, doesn’t mater) when Purifoy went down and out for the rest of the game. Now he’s going to take arguably our best CB on the team and have him returning?? What about someone like Pittman instead?

    • G2 says:

Gotta be someone else (a 3rd string WR) that can do this? I’m with you….can’t afford it!

    • Michael Jones says:

I don’t think anybody should return kicks or punts. Too risky. Just let the ball bounce around out there and the other team can down it at the 1 yard line. I would rather have to drive the ball 99 yards every possession than to risk one of our players being tackled on a punt or kick return.

Or, we could have really talented dangerous return men back there who can take it to the house and turn the game around on 1 play (see Deion Sanders, Desmond Howard, Tim Brown, Rocket Ismail. . just to name a few).

      Hhhmmmm. . . but it is risky. . I don’t know. . .tough call.

Hargreaves has magical talent. Let him play football.

      • G2 says:

Problem is we don’t have any of the types mentioned. Our return game sucks even with the starters and when they get hurt we are suddenly thin at areas of strength (DB) like at the end of the last game.
Lets try some other guys (Bailey, Thompson, guys like that) and find the next Brandon James.

    Latroy doesn’t have enough wiggle

  3. beaudetious says:

I’m wondering if we can start recruiting some tight ends soon. Or do I still have a hangover from the good play from Reed and (gulp) Hernandez? I love see Burton on the back of #8’s jersey but get nervous whenever I see #88.

  4. Joe says:

This coaching staff wants it’s playmakers on the field even if it kills them.

  5. 305Gator says:

Agree we need to find someone else to return kicks instead of our starting CBs,
Why is Matt Jones listed ahead of Brown. Jones has had fumble problems and does not look like he is 100% ready to be back while Brown has run very well. I say let Brown start and bring in Jones off the bench until he regains his mojo.

  6. Courtney says:

Nor sure what’s wrong with Jones, but brown is okay at best. I say give ajabe and joyer their own package, ajabe looked good with the ball in his hands.

  7. Michael Jones says:

Man, what a bunch of no-football-knowledge goofballs. Must be a full moon.

I think Kyle Christy should play quarterback and middle linebacker and let’s move Dominique Easley to wide receiver. He gets a good jump off of the ball and we should take advantage of that. As long as no meanie opposing defensive player tackles him too hard. That would be really dangerous and risky.

  8. Rob Thomson says:

I would like to see Herndon as a returner. He has the speed, he is shifty, and he is not a starter. I don’t want to see Patton’s arm get broken again now that he is turning into one of our best receivers.
