Coming off an inexcusable loss on the road at Kentucky following a couple games that appeared to show the Florida Gators improving, the program fell from the top 10 in the latest set of college football rankings. Florida dropped 10 spots to No. 20 in the AP Top 25 and fell nine spots to No. 18 in the Coaches Poll.

With six different top-15 teams losing on Saturday, there was plenty of movement in the rankings, which likely saved the Gators from falling further or perhaps out of the field completely. Florida is nevertheless the top-ranked two-loss team and one of only two such programs in the polls at all with Clemson unranked (26th overall) and No. 25 in the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll, respectively.

Alabama, the defending national champions remain the near-consensus No. 1 team in the nation. It received 58 of 62 first-place votes from the AP pollsters and 63 of 65 from the coaches. Georgia, Iowa, Penn State and Oklahoma round out the first five spots in the AP Top 25.
