Florida Gators junior second baseman Deacon Liput, who started for UF as it won its first national championship last season, has been suspended indefinitely by the program “to take care of some off the field issues,” according to Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball.com.

No additional details are available at this time.

Liput played in a team-high 70 games last season, starting 68 contests, notching 37 RBIs and swiping 2 bases. He led the Gators with 12 RBis in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, seven of which came during the 2017 College World Series.
