Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, in the middle of a noteworthy second season in which he has lead his team to a 5-1 record since taking over as starter, will be featured on the cover of the premiere issue of NFL Magazine, which will be available at a newsstand or bookstore near you on Dec. 13 ($4.99).
The issue was scheduled to feature Carolina QB Cam Newton on the cover. Tebow supplanted him because he has become a bigger story.
“Tim Tebow is current. He’s a talking piece. You love him or you hate him,” Mike Dunphy, publisher and editor of NFL Magazine, told the Associated Press. “What better relevant topic than Tim Tebow?”
