It has been an immensely frustrating road for the Florida Gators as the Class of 2024 recruiting cycle largely comes to a close on National Signing Day, but while the program has lost a handful of blue-chip prospects — among the top-rated players in its class — Florida has also added some talent as well. That included news dropping on signing day itself.
Four-star running back Jadan Baugh (Decatur, GA) committed to the Gators on Wednesday, becoming the second player at his position in the class. Baugh chose Florida over Alabama after decommitting from Arkansas earlier this week. He is ranked No. 382 in the 247Sports Composite.
Three-star athlete Gregory Smith III (Riverview, FL) also committed to the Gators on Wednesday, and Florida was long though to be the leader for his services out of a comparatively lackluster group of finalists that included Vanderbilt and Virginia.
The Gators’ class dropped multiple spots amid decommitments earlier Wednesday. There may be a couple more additions in the early signing period, but at this time, Baugh and Smith were the new signees by day’s end.
