Just a couple days after Florida Gators football opened the 2018 season, the program added another big commitment to the Class of 2019. Four-star offensive tackle William Harrod (Fort Washington, MD) committed to the team on Monday, choosing Florida over Michigan, Tennessee and Penn State, among others.
Harrod (6-foot-5, 315 pounds) took an official visit to see the Gators play this weekend and decided to become the team’s fourth pledge along the offensive line in 2019. Though he is a four-star prospect, he is just outside the top 300 in the nation, per 247Sports.
With Harrod now in the fold, Florida is now the 21st rated class in the 247Sports Team Rankings, behind nine other SEC teams and both of its in-state rivals. The Gators now have 14 pledges in the Class of 2019 with Harrod rated sixth in that group.
