Florida Gators senior punter Chas Henry, winner of the 2010 Ray Guy Award given to the nation’s best punter, was named an All-American first-team member by the Associated Press and Sports Illustrated on Tuesday.
Henry, who was also selected as a to the 2010 Walter Camp All-America first-team and was picked as a unanimous first-team All-SEC selection, punted 44 times for 2,042 yards with a 46.4 average this season. That average was not only the best in the nation this year but also set a school record.
Florida senior safety Ahmad Black earned AP second-team All-America honors. He and redshirt freshman kick returner Andre Debose were given honorable mention by SI. Black was also a unanimous All-SEC first-team selection.

No Pouncey?
No Janoris.
Our two best players this year were Black and Henry so congrats to both of them.
Heard Adazzio thought Henry was a top 10 pick this year. Said he should go right after Pouncey.
On a serious note, will definitely be playing on Sundays….seems as though we always breed good kickers. Where is Wilbur these days anyhow?
Congratulations Chas!
npgator – I agree. I didn’t really expect to see anyone else. Congrats to both, they’ve earned it.
maybe janoris won’t drink the kool aid and come back next year, just as long as he doesn’t get to return punts … oh wait i meant fair catch.
hey adam any chance you could fid the press conference….im sure youre probably owrking on that anyway. thanks!
305- My recap of the press conference is posted.
These awards pretty much sum up this past season.
Our best player..by far was our oft-used punter. Congrats to Henry, he will be missed.
Another standout was A.Black who always had his nose in the play. Congrats to Black…he will be missed.
DeBose was great on returns…for some strange reason he never saw the field, but here’s to hoping that changes soon…we was sorely missed.
Now, as for Addazio…
Congrats to the two best players on the team this year. With them being seniors, I wouldn’t imagine any player would be entering the draft early…. no one shined this year on a consistent basis.
